What You Need To Do In 2022

The uncertainties in the world make it impossible to think linearly. You have to be innovative and creative if you want to be financially independent. Here are some antidotes I offer which would help you sail with the tide when the storm blows or rages

Build Yourself Up

One of the fundamental principles in life is about improving yourself daily. You need to invest in yourself. The problem with many people is that they confuse investing in yourself with attending seminars, reading a lot of books, and doing so many things at a time. All these might be good but that might not lead you anywhere. What you need to do is to have a plan. For instance, you can ask yourself these questions: What seminar(s) can I attend that will help me achieve my goal? What book(s) do I need to read that is in line with my aspirations?

Have a Goal

A person without a goal is like chaff that is blown away by the wind. You can’t build yourself up without having a goal. A lot of people just go where the crowd goes and always jump on the bandwagon without any plans. Go where there is no path and live on a trail. As the famous poem by Andrew Marvel said the “road less travelled by made all the difference”. If you do what everyone is doing you would end up getting what everyone is getting but if you want to be different, then be unique.

Passion

Money is very important but can you imagine doing a job that you’re not interested in, but you just want to get a paycheck at the end of the month. A lot of people find their passion early on in life while others discover their passion late. However, if you haven’t found it yet, keep on searching for what makes you happy and that will make all the difference in your life. Know that you won’t be young all the time, you’ll grow old and you must do things that make you happy and not under compulsion.

Take action

Summing up everything I’ve talked about is taking action. Without action, everything is just a waste. You may have a big dream, but if you don’t take action you might die with your dreams. One famous person said that the cemetery or sepulchre is the richest place because there are a lot of brilliant ideas buried which were never used to benefit humanity.

So, I urge you to take action today.

Start where you are and start small. Just make a little progress. A little drop of water makes a mighty ocean. Twenty minutes of doing something is more valuable than 20 hours of thinking about it and not taking action.

Final thoughts

At the end of your life, what will be your proudest moments? Don’t wait. The grass is greener where you water it. You have to invest in yourself, develop your life plan, be passionate about what you do and ultimately back it up with action.
